For Windows 10
To check out the version of Windows your device is running, you need to follow the following simple steps i.e.
- Press the Windows logo key + R, type winver in the Open box, and select OK
Another way to check the version is
- Select the Start button
- Find Settings, System, and Then About
- Open About Settings
- Under Device Specifications > System type, see if you are running a 32-bit version or 64-bit version of the Window
- Under Windows Specifications, check out the edition and version of windows your machine is running
For Windows 8.1 or RT 8.1
Follow the steps to check the version of Window your device is running
- Press the Windows logo key + R, type winver in the Open box, and Select OK
To view more details on the Windows edition follow these steps
- If you are using a touch device, swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, and tap Change PC Settings
- Select PC and Devices > PC info
- Under Windows, you will see which edition and version of Windows your device is running
- Under PC > System type, you can see if you are running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of the Window
And
- If you are using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move your mouse pointer up
- Click Settings, and then click Change PC Settings
- Select PC and Devices > PC info
- Under Windows, you’ll see which edition and version of Windows your device is running
- Under PC > System type, you can check if you are running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of the Window
For Windows 7
You need to follow these steps to check the version if you’re using Windows 7
- Select the Start Button
- Type Computer in the search box
- Right-click on Computer, and then select Properties
- Under Windows edition, you can check the version as well as the edition of the Window you are running.
